How LykMnd Works

Favorites are your top-tier, definitive picks — the content that genuinely defines your taste. Everything you add here trains the Discover Engine and shapes your Taste Profile in real time.

Your LykMnd 3 is a hand-picked snapshot of the three defining favorites that best represent your personal taste in any category. Unlike automated lists, you stay in total control of the picks that define your vibe—making it effortless to showcase your style and share your custom cards anywhere with the world.

There are three ways:

• Tap the + icon on any content card throughout the app to open the add menu, then select Add to Favorites.
• On any Add Screen, use the search bar to find a specific title and add it directly.
• From the Home Screen, tap the search icon and use the search fields to find content, then add it from the results.

These are the three content pillars. Each one tracks a different media type and shapes a separate corner of your Taste Profile. You can build out one pillar, all three, or any combination.

Focus on quality over quantity. Your Favorites list should represent your absolute top picks — not everything you have ever watched, listened to, or read. The more accurate your choices, the better your discovery will be.

Yes. On any Add Screen, use the filters below the search bar to browse Trending, Newly Added, and Community Favorites. This is a good starting point if you are not sure what to add first.

The heart icon lets you like another user’s favorite to show alignment. The comment icon lets you share your thoughts with the community on any piece of content.

Discover is your personalized recommendation feed. It surfaces content tailored specifically to your Taste Profile — not what is trending globally, but what fits your exact taste based on what you and your closest matches love.

The engine maps overlap between three things: your Taste Profile, your community’s favorites, and the full content library. It surfaces titles that align with your taste and have already been vetted by users who share your favorites.

Because it is built entirely from your unique Taste Profile. Two users with different Favorites lists will see completely different Discover feeds.

Yes — automatically. Every time you add or remove a Favorite, the engine recalculates your profile and your feed updates in real time.

These options let you customize how you discover:

• LykMnd View: This is your personalized, social-driven feed. It shows you content explicitly favorited by people you’ve matched with, ranking the items by how many of your matches share that exact preference. It’s perfect for finding what’s trending specifically within your circle.
• Popular View: This is a broader, platform-wide feed. It highlights trending content across the entire global community, regardless of whether you’re matched with those users or not. It’s great for seeing what the wider community is diving into.

Yes. Tap any user’s profile to browse their Favorites directly. This is one of the most effective ways to find hidden gems — going straight to the source.

This is a space dedicated to what’s capturing your attention. Inside, you’ll find what you’re watching, listening to, and reading right now, alongside the content that shaped your past and the discoveries you’re diving into next.

Favorites is your permanent, curated list of top picks that powers your Taste Profile. Exploring is your working queue — a place to track content you are actively trying out before deciding if it belongs in Favorites.

Tap the + icon on any content card throughout the app, then select Add to Exploring. You can also add content from any Add Screen using the search bar.

Each item in Exploring moves through three stages:

• Next Up — content you plan to start
• Active — what you are currently enjoying
• Finished — titles you have completed

Move content between stages as your journey progresses.

Yes — with a single tap. When something you are tracking completely hits the mark, promote it to Favorites directly from the Exploring screen. This instantly sharpens your Taste Profile and updates your Discover feed.

Yes. Your active Exploring content is visible on your profile, making it easy for people who follow you to discover new titles based on what you are diving into right now.

You can follow other users whose taste overlaps with yours. When you follow someone, their activity appears in your Following feed, giving you a real-time stream of new content from people whose taste you trust.

A taste match is a number that shows how much overlap exists between your Favorites and another user’s Favorites. The higher the percentage, the more your tastes align.

LykMnd automatically calculates your match strength with every user on the platform. Browse your top matches in the Discover - Users. Users are ranked by how closely their Favorites align with yours.

Tap the magnifying glass on your Home screen to open Search. You can search by name, username, or bio. Results are automatically ranked by shared favorites, so your closest matches always appear at the top.

The higher the taste match, the better the discovery. Following your closest matches transforms your Following feed into a direct pipeline of real-time discovery from people whose taste mirrors yours.

Tap any user’s profile to browse their Favorites. Diving into another user’s curated list is one of the most effective ways to find hidden gems and timeless classics you may have missed.

It shows alignment with that user’s pick and contributes to community milestones. It is also a signal to other users that a piece of content resonates across multiple taste profiles.
